4. Install the update from "Update" folder

5)Now close Acrobat and open the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0 folder

Find files
  - AdobeARM
  - Armsvc
  - AcrobatUpdater

Also rename them, for example so AdobeARMold, armsvcold, AcrobatUpdateold
If there is a message that the file can't be renamed, find in the processes, close them, repeat procedure.

6)Block any attempts of the program to contact the Internet a firewall.

Disable internet but Install as trial 
then install updates 
block url’s in host as instructed. 
Then run patch-painter.exe 
scroll down long list to Acrobat XI (x86)
And bingo you are all set. 
Good idea to run all as admin by the way 
and I always shut off automatic updates in the app anyway 
though you should not have too after patching host file.



To edit host file in run box copy paste this

notepad c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts

you may have to uncheck read only first to save though so just go to that location and change, if you need more info look it up.
